Jennifer Brantley, director and lead teacher of Little Acorn Preschool and Kindergarten, has been a passion early childhood educator for over ten years. She has a Lifeways certification in early childhood, and has taught in many educational programs all over the country. Most recently, she taught for three years at a Waldorf inspired home schooling cooperative in Western N.C. She has been a lead teacher, director and program developer for the unique and progressive after school programs at The Washington Waldorf School in Washington, D.C. and for St. Luke’s School in New York City. Jenny beautifully weaves her extensive knowledge and experience in Montessori and Waldorf education into every classrooms and family communities she serves. Her love of teaching and unique talents are always apparent in the creativity she brings to teaching and in the support she brings to families. Jennifer strives to engage the whole heart, mind and soul of each learner through beauty and artistry.
Jennifer’s creative talents go well beyond education. She has a masters degree in fine art from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and an extensive background in creating inspiring, sculptural designs and visual installations for galleries, retail stores, top luxury hotels and private homes and events. She is a treasure box of creative ideas and can magically transforming any space! She has created sculptural designs and installations for Postmasters Gallery in NYC, The Attleboro Art Museum in Massachusetts, The Mayflower Renaissance hotel in Washington, D.C., Anthropologie, The Mustard Seed Shop in MD, Oak The Shop in MD, and countless private events.
